Las Vegas Man Dead After Collision with Tractor Trailer

A 43-year-old Las Vegas resident died last Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision on Carey Avenue. The crash occurred along Carey Avenue near Rancho and Simmons Street around 10:30 pm. According to initial police reports, a Cadillac, driven by the 43-year-old man collided with a tractor trailer that was turning onto Carey Avenue for unknown reasons. First responders arrived on scene, where the 43-year-old Las Vegas man was pronounced dead. The driver of the tractor stayed at the scene and was cooperative with police officers. While preliminary findings indicate that speeding may have been a factor in the accident, police have not made any additional details available at this time.
